DIALOGUE FOR DEVELOPMENT
The DIVO Project uses online digital video dialogue to promote intercultural understanding and peer-led learning between people in different geographical contexts. We create, upload and exchange short digital video clips based on participants experience of common issues/situations. These are discussed in groups on and offline and new films are generated in response. DIVO is moving forward, refining the methdology to support Citizenship within the UK Secondary and Further Education curricula.

DIVO Pilot phase
The DIVO Pilot phase took place between young Muslim women from Accra, Ghana and students from Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School for Girls in London, UK. Participants explored and exchanged short films based on culture, gender and sexual health.

Pilot phase aims:
1) To increase participants cross-cultural awareness
2) To improve participants IT skills
3) To increase the ability of young women to make informed choices about gender and sexual health

The DIVO Pilot phase was funded by the British Council and the British High Commission in Ghana and the Guardian Newspaper Ltd in the UK. A full report and 20-minute evaluative documentary are available.
